We had 3 of us go to Vallejo for Murphy Mack’s SuperPro CX’s 1st event. Me and Rahi raced at 3:15 in the 35+C event. The course was short, with a deep grass, soft ground climb, and some twisty turny off camber type shit. It was a fun course. I crashed and knocked my rear wheel off quickly going to DFL. I got the rear wheel back on a started to pick people off. I ended up picking 8 people off finishing 13th. Meanwhile, Rahi was on fire, kicking ass, and battling up front. Good fitness and no errors scored him a 3rd place podium spot!!
Charles was next in the 45+Bs at 4pm. A similar amount of people lined up and Charles was off the start line near the front. He let a couple people in front going into the grass and crashed in the same hard, slippery, off camber, grassy turn. Bent his derailleur hanger. I got to the pits and changed bikes to one with less the perfect gearing. But he pushed on and was pushing had and picking people off. One at a time. He finished mid pack. It was a fun race! Thank to Frank to coming to take photos, and cheer us on!!
